Description
Axcis Education is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with additional needs in a welcoming and well-established primary school in Eastville, Bristol. This is a full-time, term-time only role (8:30-3:30, Monday to Friday), offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey.

The Role:
• Providing 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil, helping them engage with learning and reach their full potential.
• Using tailored strategies to support emotional regulation, engagement, and social development.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide consistent and structured support.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Supporting the child in both classroom and outdoor learning environments, including Forest School activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Experience working with children with additional needs (preferred but not essential).
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A passion for inclusive education and supporting children’s development.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
