Axcis Education are looking for a teaching assistant to be based in a primary school based in South Birmingham.

The school is based in Balsall Heath and caters for students aged 4 to 11 years and is well-accessible via public transport as well as by car with on-site parking available. This vibrant team are looking for another dedicated a teaching assistant to join their growing team on a long-term basis due to having new pupil with SEND starting very soon. The appointed teaching assistant will mainly support in KS1, working with students who have additional needs and challenging behaviours. This is a long-term for the whole of the 2025/26 academic year.

The role will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis, with students who have additional needs and challenging behaviours. This position needs to be filled from September 2025, the working hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. As previously mentioned the role will be on a ongoing basis going through to July 2026 and potentially to return the following September.

The candidate must have experience supporting children with special educational needs and challenging behaviours on a professional or personal basis.

Qualifications and school/classroom experience is not essential but would be a big advantage.
