Axcis Education are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Bristol for a Teaching Assistant to join their Learning Base, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
This is a full-time position starting after February half term, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured support setting and making a meaningful difference to young people’s education.
About the Role:
• Working within the school’s Learning Base / inclusion provision
• Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND, SEMH, and learning difficulties
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils access the curriculum
• Supporting behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning
• Working closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams
The Ideal Candidate:
• Has experience working with secondary-aged pupils and/or additional needs
• Is calm, patient, and confident supporting pupils who may struggle in mainstream lessons
• Can build positive, trusting relationships with young people
• Works well as part of a supportive, collaborative team
• Experience in a learning base, SEND provision, or alternative provision is desirable but not essential
