SEND Teaching Assistant – Preston

A specialist school in Preston is recruiting for a long-term SEND Teaching Assistant to support students aged 2-19.

The role is available 4 or 5 days per week (depending on availability) and involves supporting students with a range of complex needs, including ASD, SEMH, anxiety, behavioural needs, and MLD/SLD. Support will be matched to your experience and strengths.

The Role:

Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay rate: Between £89-95 per day depending on experience

Expectations:

• Provide in-class and individual SEND support to students of varied ages
• Support learning, engagement, and behaviour
• Work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team
• Support students’ independence and wellbeing

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children or adults with additional needs
• Confident supporting students with complex and varied SEND needs
• Patient, adaptable, and reliable


Additional Information

• Days: 4 or 5 days per week (preference-based)
• Contract: Long-term or short-term available
