Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: L35
Contract: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm
Pay: From £93-£96 per day (dependent on experience)
Start date: September
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Axcis Education is looking for dedicated and resilient SEND teaching assistants to work within welcoming primary schools, supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve their full potential.
As a SEND teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in a child's educational journey. You will act as a positive role model, mentor, and trusted source of daily support, building strong relationships that help pupils develop confidence, independence, and achieve their individual goals.
This rewarding role may involve supporting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, or complex needs. You should be confident working in a fast-paced environment and be able to remain calm, patient, and professional when managing challenging or occasionally confrontational behaviour.
Essential Requirements:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, either in education, care, or support settings.
• A valid Child and Adult Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the DBS Update Service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A resilient, patient, and proactive approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• A genuine passion for helping children succeed.
