Teaching Assistant (SEND)
Start: ASAP
Location: Stockport
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (SEND) to join our team in Stockport, ideally with experience supporting primary-aged children, although training will be provided for the right candidate. You may be required to work across different year groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children in lessons, including their speech and language and social and emotional well-being.
- Assist children with medical needs and provide personal care where required.
- Support pupils with EHCPs and SEND Support Plans in their learning and development, both in the classroom and our Resource Base.
- Work under the guidance of teaching staff, the Inclusion Manager, and outside agencies to implement and evaluate agreed work programmes.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience supporting children with SEND is preferred but not essential.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Willingness to work across different year groups and support a variety of needs.
