Axcis Education is working in partnership with a specialist education provision in Weymouth to recruit a Full Time SEN Teaching Assistant. Key Responsibilities

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

-Support pupils with SEND, autism, learning difficulties, and additional needs to access learning
-Deliver engaging and personalised learning activities tailored to individual needs
-Promote emotional, social, and physical development through a nurturing approach
-Build positive and trusting relationships that encourage confidence and independence
-Support daily routines and help maintain a structured learning environment
-Celebrate and encourage progress, no matter how small
-Work closely with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff
-Provide practical and personal support where required (full training provided)
-Use sensory, creative, and interactive approaches to engage learners

We are looking for candidates who:

-Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEN, ASC, autism, ADHD, SEMH, or complex needs
-Are patient, resilient, and empathetic
-Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
-Are proactive, adaptable, and passionate about helping children achieve their potential
-Have experience in education, care, support work, residential care, youth work, or similar roles (desirable but not essential)
