Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary (Bolton)

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant in this primary setting, you will work closely with class teachers and other members of staff to provide support across a range of year groups. You will help to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment where every child can succeed.
Your role will include:
• Supporting pupils in class and through small group interventions to raise attainment
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation, organisation, and classroom management
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a love of learning
• Supporting pupils who may need additional help with literacy, numeracy, or emotional wellbeing
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and ensuring all children feel valued and included
This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a primary school setting or a recent graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Previous experience supporting children in a primary school environment (desirable but not essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, positive, and proactive approach to working with young learners
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
• Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate or equivalent (desirable)
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
