Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: L18
Daily Rate: £93–£96 per day
Hours: Monday - Friday, term time only.

Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a teaching assistant to work in a welcoming primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children and wants to make a genuine difference to their day-to-day learning and development.
As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with pupils and school staff to provide high-quality support throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Supporting children during meal times.
• Assisting with personal care when required.
• Helping pupils manage their emotions and behaviour.
• Using a calm and reassuring approach to de-escalate challenging situations.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
The school has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and provides a supportive environment for both pupils and staff.
The school is particularly well liked by staff Axcis has placed there previously, making this an excellent opportunity to join a positive and supportive team.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary, SEND or alternative provision setting.
• Has a calm and patient nature.
• Is confident supporting children who may display challenging behaviour.
• Has the ability to de-escalate situations effectively.
• Is caring, resilient and compassionate.
• Is reliable and committed to supporting pupils.
• Is comfortable assisting with personal care and meal times where required.
• Can work effectively as part of a wider school team.
Essential Requirements
You must have both a Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service.
