Salary: £95 per day (PAYE)
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

About the Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide educational support and individual assistance to students with a range of special educational needs. Your role is vital in helping create an inclusive and accommodating learning environment where every child can succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they are engaged and able to access the curriculum.
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet the needs of SEND pupils.
- Facilitate the academic and social development of SEND pupils, encouraging independence and confidence.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support the well-being of SEND pupils.
- Manage challenging behaviour effectively, using appropriate strategies to promote positive behaviour.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEND and a passion for providing tailored support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to undergo training.
- An enhanced DBS check is essential for this role.
