Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

An independent specialist school in Crosby is seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to join their team from late February / early March. This rewarding opportunity involves supporting pupils aged 8–16 in a calm, nurturing environment that places emotional wellbeing, confidence-building, and meaningful re-engagement with learning at its heart.

About the Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support, responding to each pupil’s emotional, behavioural, and learning needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to deliver inclusive and therapeutic learning experiences
• Build strong, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, understood, and valued
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour using trauma-informed, relationship-based approaches
• Encourage independence, engagement, and personal growth through consistent, empowering support
