Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: Salisbury
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 15.30pm
Pay: £90 - £95 PAYE per day
We are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School's Resource Base, working with children who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. This is a full-time, PAYE position offering a competitive rate of £90-95 per day.
The role involves providing 1:1 support to pupils, with a focus on social, emotional, and behavioural development. You will be responsible for supporting pupils in regulating their emotions, facilitating breaks when necessary, and assisting in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children with additional needs.
Working hours are from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, following the school’s term dates. As part of an experienced team, you will receive support from skilled practitioners, and you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the development of personalized learning strategies to meet the needs of each child.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in supporting children with SEMH, as well as a patient, empathetic approach to working with vulnerable children. Previous experience in a school setting or with SEN children is highly desirable.
