Description
Are you someone who cares, listens, and wants to make a real difference? We’re looking for a warm, dependable person to support a Year 4 pupil 1:1 with SEMH, ADHD and mild learning difficulties in a local primary school.
About the role:
• Full-time: 8.30am–3.30pm, five days a week
• Start: ASAP, with a 16-week settling-in period and scope for permanency
• Pay: £13.70 per hour
• Support: working alongside class teachers and pastoral staff
• Focus: helping the pupil engage, feel safe, access learning, and grow confidence
The setting you’ll join:
You’ll work in a vibrant primary school rated Good in its most recent Ofsted inspection, praised for pupils’ behaviour, personal development and leadership. The school community is warm and inclusive, with high expectations and a calm environment where children feel proud to learn. It offers a range of creative and active learning spaces, and the chance to see how real impact is made day by day.
Who you are matters most. You don’t need perfect experience. What we’re really looking for is someone with:
• patience, kindness and resilience
• positive energy and belief in every child
• flexibility, empathy and consistency
• ability to form trust with vulnerable young people
• willingness to learn and work closely as part of a team
This role is ideal for youth workers, sports coaches, existing teaching assistants or support workers who want meaningful, local work supporting a child who deserves a chance.
What you’ll get:
• A role with real purpose and visible impact
• Experience and training working with SEMH, ADHD and learning needs
• A supportive team and a school that values inclusion
• Possible permanent position after settling in
If you’re ready to bring your experience and qualities to this role, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today to be considered for this role.
