Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Salisbury
Setting: Primary School
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:15pm
Pay: £14.25–£15.00 per hour
Axcis Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant in Salisbury to join a primary school supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
This is a rewarding opportunity for candidates with personal or professional experience supporting children or young people. You will provide individualised support, help pupils engage with learning and encourage the development of confidence, independence and positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with additional and complex needs
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Helping pupils access learning and classroom activities
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Encouraging confidence, independence and communication skills
• Working closely with teachers and wider support staff
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
• Personal or professional experience supporting children or young people
• A patient, caring and consistent approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Resilience when supporting challenging situations
• A genuine interest in SEND and specialist education
