Our client, a Local Authority in North West London, is looking for an experienced officer to support the Service Manager in the comprehensive and legally robust delivery of the Health and Safety Service, within the Environmental Health Team, on an initial 3 month contract. You’ll manage, support and develop a small team of officers, carry out and oversee inspections, investigations and interventions, and investigate workplace accidents, complaints and serious incidents. You’ll take proportionate and effective enforcement action where required, and provide advice and guidance to businesses, duty holders and stakeholders.

The role also involves working collaboratively with internal and external partners, contributing to service improvement projects, policies and operational best practice, and ensuring the service meets its statutory obligations and performance objectives.
