Description

Our client, a fast-paced and dynamic global investment firm, is seeking an experienced professional to step into an interim role as a Temporary Banking Relationship Manager. This position is a full-time, fixed-term contract designed to maintain continuity across the Group's banking relationships and account onboarding activities. The role offers hybrid working, though an on-site presence in Guernsey is required for bank meetings and signings.

The Opportunity
Operating within the Group Compliance Operations team and working closely with Treasury, Legal, and Finance, the successful candidate will ensure that new account openings, annual due diligence reviews, and day-to-day banking matters progress without disruption. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance or banking professional to manage international relationships across multiple time zones and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
• Relationship Management: Act as the day-to-day point of contact for the Group's banking partners, responding to routine queries and managing ongoing correspondence.
• Onboarding & Due Diligence: Prepare, review, and progress due diligence documentation, application forms, and responses to information requests from banks.
• Risk & Compliance: Carry out ongoing risk assessments based on AML considerations, ensuring all documentation meets strict regulatory requirements.
• Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, Legal, Treasury) to gather the complex corporate documentation required for banking submissions.
• Reporting: Summarise key findings, open items, and onboarding risks for regular review by the Group CFO.

Requirements
• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in due diligence, KYC/AML, banking relationship management, or compliance risk analysis.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with regulatory requirements, international banking onboarding processes, and complex corporate structures (e.g., organograms, shareholder agreements).
• Adaptability: The ability to hit the ground running, manage multiple priorities across varying time zones, and work independently with short notice.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a structured approach to documentation and absolute discretion regarding sensitive financial data.
• Qualifications: A degree in law, finance, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
