Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Warehouse Operative to join a successful team in the Welwyn Garden City area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for various materials handling tasks, stock management, and shipping and receiving operations within a busy warehouse environment.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience in electrical wholesale to develop their skills further in a dynamic setting. The position involves working with equipment such as forklifts, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout the facility.
Duties
• Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing deliveries.
• To pick and pack orders accurately for courier shipment.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods.
• Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate inventory records.
• Handle materials with care, including lifting heavy loads and performing manual handling tasks.
• Assist in stock replenishment, organisation, and storage of products across the warehouse.
• Conduct picking and packing of orders accurately for shipment.
• Load and unload pallets as required, maintaining safety protocols at all times.
• Generating Labels for Customers order.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications
• 2 years of previous experience in an electrical wholesale warehouse environment
• Full U.K. Driving Licence
• Counterbalance Forklift license an advantage
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a regular basis.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
