Description
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Leader to join our small team.
This is a Full-Time position, ordinarily Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.30 Hrs but flexibility is required from time to time, both in the morning, and sometimes evenings due to the unpredictable nature of logistics and suppliers.
Responsibilities in no particular order.
• Supervising and overseeing the daily operation and staff, to ensure all shipments, albeit originating from the Warehouse, or from Inbound, or on Outbound Vehicles / Suppliers, are handled with the greatest of care and in a timely and professional manner.
• The unloading of inbound vehicles with all cargoes thoroughly checked and either booked in or moved to location. This includes weighing (when required) and accurate dimensions taken and recorded.
• The loading of outbound vehicles again with all cargoes thoroughly checked against paperwork.
• We house a small number of customer products for which there is daily picking. It is the remit of the Warehouse Supervisor to have these picked, or secondary checked recording 100% accuracy, against Picking Lists supplied by the Office.
• To ensure Labels and instructions coming from the Office are applied and followed to the letter.
• There will be times when picks generate the requirement of Pallets, so these are to be built and wrapped and labelled accordingly.
• Accurate regular stock taking of customers products.
• Very Important – Someone who has experience and is comfortable in working in a confined space at times when inbound exceeds outbound, in addition to our normal customer stock holding. Being a relatively small warehouse in the great scheme, there is quite often a requirement for moving Freight around at short notice.
• Someone who can organise and maximise stock control. * To be discussed in more detail at Interview.
• To keep the Warehouse clean and tidy at all times complying to Health and Safety and ISO regulations
Requirements
• Current and Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Driving Licence would be preferred as there could be a requirement time to time for doing a bit of local driving.
• The handling of Dangerous Goods by all transport modes would be beneficial and advantageous.
• To be physically fit as there is a lot of manual handling involved in this role.
Will go through the Company Benefits with any applicant at time of application.
Salary will be advised upon time of application
