Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for a Workshop Manager by a specialist supplier of Forklift Trucks and related equipment. As the ideal candidate you will have experience of managing in a workshop or service centre where you have had responsibility for quality, profitability and resources. You should be a good man manger and create a positive, best practice orientated environment.
Your role and responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities Include: -
• Lead, manage, coach, and motivate a team of engineers and 1 logistics person.
• Measure workshop productivity, quality and efficiency and ensure targets are met.
• Lead and promote a safe working culture across Workshops and Logistics.
• To complete regular workshop inspections ensuring fully operational and safe.
• Carry out audits of tooling needs and calibration, PAT testing, PPE requirements.
• Undertake assessment of training needs and skills development.
• Responsible for toolbox talks with workshop.
• Responsible for stock levels of parts and consumables from both practical and budget perspective.
• Allocate jobs to engineers. Plan workshop volumes, ensuring trucks are delivered, on spec and on time without compromising quality.
• Plan, manage and evaluate all logistics activities, liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, external transport providers and customers.
• Responsible for managing and escalating all technical and parts related queries derived from workshop activity.
