Job title: Workshop Plant Fitter
Location: Redruth, Cornwall
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Salary: up to £45,760 per annum
My client is a trusted and fast-growing supplier of self-drive and operated construction equipment across the UK.
Job Purpose
To carry out maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on plant machinery in a workshop environment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a wide variety of cutting-edge machinery in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine servicing and maintenance on construction and earthmoving machinery according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Fault find, Report, Repair and replace any issues
• Monitor and replenish lubricants and fluids as required.
• Carry out preventative maintenance
• Clean, inspect, and prepare plant equipment for redeployment or transfer.
• Fit replacement parts and support team members during major maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all tasks are completed safely and to a high standard.
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience:
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong mechanical knowledge in plant equipment including excavators, dumpers, rollers etc
• Experience working with construction/plant equipment and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to perform maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Understanding of risk assessments and method statements.
Personal Attributes:
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Strong organisational abilities.
• Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving skills.
