Axcis Education is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant / Youth Mental Health School Support Worker to join a specialist alternative provision setting in Bristol, supporting young people aged 11 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is a genuinely rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference to vulnerable young people. You do not need extensive classroom experience. We are particularly interested in people with the right personality, values and motivation, including:
• Youth Workers
• Sports Coaches
• Support Workers
• Pastoral or care professionals
• Mentors and community workers
• People with experience supporting young people in challenging circumstances
The school provides a personalised, inclusive learning environment, with staff trained in nurture and trauma-informed approaches. Young people benefit from structured routines, strong relationships and support with emotional regulation, confidence, communication and social skills.
The latest Ofsted inspection rated the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management as Good.
