We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Worker to join the school’s team and support the development and holistic well-being of students.

About the School:

This school is a unique and innovative learning institution, providing an alternative and inclusive educational pathway for students of secondary age. The school places a strong emphasis on personal development, academic achievement and individual learning support, creating an environment where every student can thrive. The school is equipped with a variety of modern facilities, including dedicated pastoral rooms, breakout spaces and sports facilities, all designed to foster both learning and social engagement.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them develop skills in areas such as communication, teamwork and self-regulation.
• Assisting teachers and pastoral staff in behaviour management and delivering tailored learning interventions.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement through structured activities and mentoring.
• Building trusting relationships with students, offering guidance and support to ensure their well-being.

Key attributes include:

• Experience working with young people, ideally in a youth work or education setting.
• Strong communication skills, and the ability to build rapport.
• A compassionate and patient approach, with a desire to support young people to overcome challenges.
• Team Teach training is advantageous but not essential.

At Axcis, we recognise that Youth Workers are integral to the success of students, particularly those with additional needs. Working with Axcis means joining a team that understands the value of your role and the significant impact you can have on the lives of young people.

Axcis provides a range of benefits, including:
• Competitive reimbursement on PAYE - £450/week.
• Specialised training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and support your career goals.
• The chance to work in innovative and inclusive educational settings amongst SEN professionals.
If you are passionate about supporting students and would like to make a lasting impact on their educational journey, apply now for the Youth Worker position for this renowned school in the Yate area.
