Experience:

Job Summary:

The Centre for Disabled Children provides a wide range of Services and Short Breaks to Disabled Children and their families. The centre is open 7 days a week. The Team Leaders report to the Bi-Borough Deputy Operations Manager, deputise in their absence, and act with their Team leader colleagues as a management team.

Main Responsibilities:

•	Be responsible for the day to day running of  Tresham centre 
•	Lead and manage a team of play workers who deliver a programme of activities for Disabled children and their families. 
•	To plan these activities which can be at either of the Tresham centre, offsite on activities, or with other partners, or on holidays away with the children.

All team leaders are expected to work across the week to cover the service as needed, this includes routine and regular weekend and evening work.

1.  To maintain the Fostering and Adoption payment database.

2.  To ensure that all payment authorisation documents are processed accurately and promptly and are correctly completed.

3. To request / chase payment authorisation documents from Social Workers.

4.  To ensure that the payment schedule is processed and information transferred within agreed timescales.

5.  To make and monitor payments to carers.

6.  To provide regular reports and statistical information as required.

7.  To calculate and liaise with Carers in respect of under/over payments.

8. To deal with insurance claims as required.

9.  To process orders for Fostering equipment and maintain the fostering equipment supplies within the                      building.

10.  To compile and maintain effective filing systems.

11. To identify where retainer payments are applicable and present this information to the Team Managers in a weekly meeting.

12.  To provide cover and back up to other members of the Fostering and Adoption administration section.

13. To assist in the processing of Fostering Applications.

To deliver the best service for our residents, this role is office based, working along side the Team Manager. 

Visits to residents homes will be required.

To ensure collaboration with our partner agencies the working pattern is 9am to 5pm with some flexibility as to start and finish time in agreement with the Team Manager.

The role involves provision of information, advice, assistance and advocacy to support service users who wish to repair, adapt or improve their home.

To identify their needs though review of referral information and to discuss the options for addressing these through the Home Improvement Agency and other agencies. 

To be the main point of contact for the service user throughout the process to support them to follow through with their chosen options and maintain communication, demonstrating sensitivity, flexibility and sound professional judgement. 

To be proficient in the use of information technology and to document case work clearly

The Temporary SEN Assessment & Review Coordinator will provide a comprehensive service to enable the Local Authority (LA) fulfil its statutory duties in relation to the assessment of pupils with special educational needs by ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of statutory procedures and the appropriate placement and ongoing provision arrangements for Enfield residing pupils both inside and outside the LA area.

Purpose of the Role:

To support the raising of standards and narrowing of identified achievement gaps through the implementation of appropriate curriculum approaches to learning and teaching with a focus on children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Undertake planning, preparation, reporting and follow up work as part of school-based consultancy to schools in Enfield, in line with schools’ and LA plans.

Organise and provide training to upskill Enfield School staff in meeting a broad range of SEND.
