Job Title: 1-1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Local Primary Schools in Stockport
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
(Monday – Friday, 8:30am–1:00pm & 1:30pm–3:30pm)

Are you a caring and patient individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are currently recruiting a dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistant to work in welcoming and supportive primary schools across the Stockport area.

In this role, you will provide tailored support to a pupil on a 1-1 basis, helping them to access the curriculum, develop their confidence, and reach their full potential. You’ll work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team to ensure the child’s individual needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1-1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs
- Assist with lesson preparation and differentiated learning activities
- Promote positive behaviour and social interaction
- Monitor and record progress under the guidance of the teacher or SENCO
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children, ideally with SEND
- Calm, empathetic, and reliable
- Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A team player with excellent communication skills
