Axcis Education are supporting a two-form entry primary school in Bideford who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS2 student with SEMH and ASD needs. The role is full time, starting immediately. The hours are 8.30-3.30. The rate of pay will be between (£90-£105) a day, depending on your qualifications and experience.
The student is currently reluctant to engage with learning and can present some challenging behaviours at times when they become dysregulated. The school is looking for someone who is patient, calm, and confident in supporting children to regulate their emotions and re-engage with learning in a positive way.
Role Details
Location: Bideford
Start Date: Immediate, or as soon as possible.
Hours: 8.30-3.30 every day on a full time basis.
Pay: £90-£105 a day.
Ideal Candidate:
-Experience or training in supporting children with SEMH needs
-Experience supporting students who can display physical behaviour.
-Knowledge of strategies to support children when they become dysregulated
-A compassionate and proactive approach to behaviour support
-Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
