Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

About the Role
We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Sutton who are looking for a patient and dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a male student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This role involves providing personalised, consistent support to help the pupil access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop social and communication skills. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement strategies tailored to his individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 classroom support for a male pupil with ASD.
Adapt learning activities and resources to suit the pupil’s needs.
Support the development of social interaction and communication skills.
Encourage engagement in lessons and participation in school life.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENDCo, and parents/carers.
About You
The school is looking for someone who has:
Experience supporting children with ASD (in school, care, or similar settings).
Patience, empathy, and a calm, supportive approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build a trusting relationship.
A proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to different situations.
