Clearance: NATO Secret or equivalent
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Comprehensive knowledge of occupational safety and occupational health principles and practices, techniques, procedures, regulations and standards, in particular the ISO 45001:2018 standard
• Proven ability to manage multiple sites in an international Health and Safety environment
• Excellent computer skills using MS Office Suite
• Experience working as a Health and Safety Advisor within an international or national organization
• Experience in implementing, developing and maintaining integrated management Systems
• Experience in conducting ISO 45001 Audits, reporting findings and follow up on recommendations/ Action plans
• Experience in drafting Occupational Health and Safety procedures
• Experience in conducting risk assessments in different activities/ environments
• Experience of developing and working within integrated management systems
• Technical skills relating to monitoring of noise, air quality, radiation etc. or experience in delivering technical survey programmes
• Demonstrable competency in fire safety management
• Experience in managing Health & Safety compliance in the field of Facility Management
• Knowledge and experience of International Health & Safety legislation & compliance
• Qualified trainer
• Ability to design and deliver health and safety training programs (e.g., manual handling, PPE use, emergency procedures)
• A thorough knowledge of one of the two NATO languages, both written and spoken, is essential and some knowledge of the other is desirable
• NOTE: Most of the work of the NCI Agency is conducted in the English language
