Location: Braine L'Alleud, Belgium
Duties:
• Operate under the direction of the Service Delivery Manager for Service-Oriented Architecture and Identity and Access Management (SOA & IdM).
• Design, deploy, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable Kubernetes clusters in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Partner with development teams to containerize applications and deploy them on Kubernetes, optimizing resource utilization and performance.
• Lead and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi to automate Kubernetes deployments and configurations.
• Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack to ensure cluster and application health.
• Proactively analyze and optimize Kubernetes cluster performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and resource constraints.
• Apply security best practices and controls to protect Kubernetes clusters from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Kubernetes and container-related issues, ensuring timely response to incidents and outages.
•Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams, providing guidance on Kubernetes standards and best practices.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Kubernetes orchestrator service management.
• Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production environments, including the design, deployment, and management of large-scale clusters.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies, including Docker and Podman, and container orchestration principles.
• Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes platforms and providers including Rancher, OpenShift, and Docker.
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their managed Kubernetes services (EKS, AKS, GKE).
• Experience working with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging solutions including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
• Experience using Helm and CI/CD pipelines, including ArgoCD and GitOps practices.
• Experience with storage solutions, including software-defined storage, backend storage platforms, S3-compatible solutions, MinIO, and NooBaa.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python for automation and operational tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
