Academic Teaching Assistant – All Boys Secondary School (SEND Experience Required)
Location: SW19, Wimbledon
Hours: 8:15am – 3:15pm | Term Time Only
We are working with an all boys secondary school in SW19 who are seeking a focused and academically strong Academic Teaching Assistant to support pupils working towards their GCSEs.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong academic background and proven SEND experience, who is confident supporting secondary-aged students to achieve their academic potential.
The Role:
Providing targeted academic support across KS3 and KS4, with a strong focus on GCSE subjects
Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including SEMH, ASD and learning difficulties
Delivering 1:1 and small group academic interventions
Supporting pupils to remain engaged, organised and on task in lessons
Working closely with subject teachers to reinforce learning and progress
The Ideal Candidate:
Has previous experience supporting students with SEND in a secondary school setting
Holds a strong academic background (degree or equivalent desirable)
Is confident supporting learning in core subjects, particularly English and Maths
Is calm, consistent and able to build positive working relationships with teenage boys
Is reliable, proactive and committed to pupil progress
