Description
An excellent opportunity for an experienced live events professional to manage key client relationships while remaining closely involved in the technical and operational delivery of high-quality events.
About the Role
We are recruiting for an established technical events business looking to appoint an experienced Account Manager to join its growing team.
The company delivers technical production solutions across a diverse range of live and experiential environments, including corporate events, exhibitions, conferences, entertainment, retail activations and special events.
This is a client-facing role suited to someone who combines strong account management and commercial skills with a good understanding of technical event production. You will take ownership of key client relationships and oversee projects from initial enquiry and quotation through to successful delivery.
The position will be based from a company facility within the Hertfordshire/Essex region, with much of the client and event activity taking place across London. Travel to other UK locations will also be required when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for managing client accounts and supporting the successful delivery of live event projects. Key responsibilities will include:
• Managing a portfolio of established client accounts and acting as their main point of contact.
• Overseeing live event projects from initial brief and quotation through to planning and delivery.
• Understanding client requirements and translating them into effective technical and operational solutions.
• Working closely with internal technical, production and operations teams to coordinate resources and event requirements.
• Maintaining regular communication with clients throughout the planning and delivery process.
• Attending events when required, supporting the coordination of technical teams, crew and equipment.
• Ensuring projects are delivered to a consistently high standard while maintaining strong commercial awareness.
• Participating in project reviews and internal commercial meetings.
• Building long-term relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for additional and repeat business.
• Helping develop new opportunities through a strong understanding of client needs and the wider events market.
Experience and Skills
We are looking for someone with a strong background in account management, live events or technical production, and the confidence to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong account management experience within live events, technical production or a closely related environment.
• Experience working with corporate, retail or other high-profile clients.
• A good technical understanding of event production, ideally covering areas such as video, audio, lighting and event technology.
• Experience with hybrid or virtual event delivery would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness, including quotations, budgets, project costs and profitability.
• Excellent client communication and relationship-management skills.
• The ability to manage several projects and priorities simultaneously.
• A calm, organised approach when working within fast-paced event environments.
• A collaborative working style and the ability to work effectively with technical and operational teams.
• Flexibility around working hours, including occasional early starts, evenings and weekends when events require it.
• Willingness to travel across London and other UK locations as required.
Package
• Salary is negotiable and will be subject to experience.
• Opportunity to take ownership of key client relationships within a growing technical events business.
• Involvement in a diverse range of corporate, experiential, entertainment, retail and special event projects.
