A respected financial services provider is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced AML professional to lead a team responsible for AML quality assurance and control across corporate and individual customer accounts.
Role Summary
This management-level position will oversee a dedicated AML team tasked with ensuring that customer due diligence, enhanced measures, and ongoing periodic reviews are conducted in compliance with current legislation and aligned with a risk-based approach. The role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of AML oversight and assurance within the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage AML quality assurance activities for onboarding, trigger events, and scheduled reviews.
• Approve and review KYC documentation for both individual and corporate clients.
• Ensure accurate customer risk profiling and timely escalation of high-risk relationships for MLRO/senior approval.
• Conduct compliance testing and identify data or documentation gaps.
• Lead the creation and delivery of AML training for operational teams across multiple regions.
• Support alignment of AML review practices across the wider organisation.
• Contribute to AML-related project delivery, including system testing and risk assessment initiatives.
• Maintain audit-ready evidence and provide MI updates in line with plan targets.
• Coach, develop, and manage team performance and development.
What You’ll Need
• A minimum of five years’ experience in the finance industry.
• Strong knowledge of AML legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in customer quality risk reviews.
• A self-starter with excellent time management and leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to lead and motivate a team.
• High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Confident communicator able to liaise effectively across all levels and regions.
• Technically proficient in Microsoft365; business-related qualifications are an advantage.
