ASD Support Worker – Primary School
Location: Bath, BA2
Hours: 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £14.25 per hour
Contract: Temporary, with potential for ongoing work
Working pattern: Full-time and part-time available

Do you have a genuine interest in supporting children with autism and additional needs?

A welcoming primary school in the Bath area is looking for a SEN Support Worker to provide dedicated support to pupils with ASD, helping them feel confident, settled and able to access their education.

This role would suit someone with experience in education, childcare, care or support work, as well as graduates looking to build a career working with children.

The role
You could be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, within a small group or as part of the wider classroom team.

Your day may include:
• Supporting children with ASD and communication needs
• Helping pupils engage with classroom activities
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Encouraging communication and independence
• Supporting emotional regulation
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
• Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment

What we're looking for:
You don't necessarily need previous school experience. We're interested in people who are:
• Patient, reliable and encouraging
• Confident working with children
• Interested in autism and SEN
• Able to remain calm and consistent
• Keen to learn and develop their skills

Previous experience supporting ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties or communication needs is desirable.
