Our client, a well-established regulatory body operating within the international eGambling sector, is seeking an Assistant Director, Financial Compliance to join its Guernsey-based team.
The position is broadly aligned to a middle-management level, with flexibility around the level of experience considered. Candidates with the right accounting, analytical and financial compliance background are encouraged to apply, even if they have not previously held an Assistant Director title.
The role will help manage the financial compliance function, providing financial analysis, regulatory oversight and guidance across regulated businesses.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the financial compliance function and support regulatory reporting.
• Review management accounts, audited financial statements, forecasts and business plans.
• Monitor liquidity requirements, player fund thresholds and financial crime indicators.
• Assess financial information relating to new licence applicants.
• Review accounting systems and investigate financial anomalies.
• Support the development of financial intelligence and reporting processes.
About You
The brief is deliberately flexible on seniority, although candidates should ideally offer:
• A recognised accounting qualification.
• Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to provide practical advice and work effectively under pressure.
