Axcis Education is seeking a patient and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Autism in a Reception class at a welcoming primary school in Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol. This full-time role begins in Term 6 (June) and offers a rewarding opportunity to support a child at the very start of their school journey, with a strong likelihood of continuing into September.

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with Autism
• Support the child with communication, social interaction and early learning activities
• Use structured routines, visual supports and sensory strategies
• Help create a calm, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience supporting children with Autism or SEND (desirable but not essential)
• Has a good understanding of EYFS or early years development
• Is patient, calm and consistent in their approach
• Can build a positive and trusting relationship with young children
• Is passionate about supporting early development and inclusion
