The Role
As a Flexible/Bank Child Support Worker, you will be an important part of the team, helping students access their learning and thrive both academically and personally. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting Learning and Development: Assist students individually or in small groups, helping them engage with lessons and activities.
Supporting Behaviour and Wellbeing: Encourage positive behaviour, support social and emotional development, and help students build confidence and independence.
Working Collaboratively: Work alongside teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement strategies and plans tailored to individual needs.
Adapting to Different Settings: Flexibly support students across classrooms, therapy sessions, and other school activities.
Promoting Inclusion: Ensure every student feels included, safe, and valued within the school community.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
Be adaptable, reliable, and able to work effectively in a variety of settings.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Be committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
Hold relevant qualifications or be willing to undertake training; a Level 3 or 4 SEND qualification is desirable but not essential. Significant SEND experience will also be considered.
