Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester

Regardless of your background—as a sports coach, youth worker, or someone experienced in handling disruptive behaviour—we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Behaviour Mentor in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with students aged 11-16 years, providing one-to-one support and small group interventions.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to engage students in their educational progress and personal development.
- Serve as a positive role model, guiding students towards making better choices and developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to construct individual support plans aimed at meeting students' specific needs.
- Monitor and evaluate students' progress, adapting approaches to suit individual circumstances.
- Offer support during times of transition and at critical points of a student's education, such as exams or progression to further education or employment.
- Address issues of attendance, punctuality, and conduct within the school, using restorative practices where appropriate.
- Facilitate activities and workshops that build confidence, resilience, and life skills.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in dealing with children or young adults demonstrating challenging behaviour is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- The ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.
- The capacity to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- A commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunity for all students.
- A relevant background as a sports coach, youth worker, or similar role dealing with young people.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Degree or NVQ Level 3 in Youth Work, Childcare, Sports Coaching, or related field.
- Training or qualifications in behaviour management, counselling, or psychology.
