Behaviour Support Assistant - Birkenhead - £89 per day

We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to work with children aged 5–11 who present with challenging behaviour.

This is a rewarding role where you’ll play a key part in supporting pupils to regulate their behaviour, engage with learning, and develop positive relationships in a safe and structured environment.

The role will involve:

Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support

Supporting children with emotional regulation and behaviour management

Implementing positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques

Working closely with teaching staff and SEN teams

Creating a calm, supportive, and consistent learning environment

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour (school, SEN, or care setting)

A calm, patient, and resilient approach

Knowledge of positive behaviour support strategies

A genuine passion for working with children and making a difference
