BSL (British Sign Language) Teaching Assistant opportunities-

At Axcis Manchester we are expanding our candidate pool of BSL (British Sign Language) staff. If you have a passion for supporting hearing impaired individuals in learning, get in touch today.
This is a great opportunity for anyone that has gained Level 2 or Level 3 certification in BSL (British Sign Language) or has personal experience of using BSL (British Sign Language) as the main form of communication with friends and family.
BSL Trained Teaching Assistants with Axcis will:
• Build good relationships with students.
• Participate in training and professional development related Special Education Needs (SEN)
• Follow the direction of the class teacher.
• Adapt resources for hearing impaired students
• Support students knowledge of BSL
• Explore best practices in relation to BSL
• Create resources to support students with learning.
• Make reasonable adjustments to support students.
• Provide 1:1 or group support to identified students, with class teacher input.
About our schools:
• Are predominantly mainstream primary schools. However, roles are available in other settings for the right candidate.
• Are warm and friendly environments.
• Provide learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom.
• Support students to find new talents.
