Selling indirectly through wholesalers and export channels.
The Role - Business Development Manager
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business sales within the

UK construction market. You’ll be expected to utilise your experience and industry contacts to leverage sales opportunities.

The Candidate – An Experienced Business Development Manager
You will have strong communication skills and ideally project management experience to meet the
company's monthly sales targets whilst also delivering an exceptional customer service experience.
In addition to business development activities, you will be expected to grow and develop a portfolio of key
existing accounts to generate and maintain existing relationships and revenue
Successful applicants will receive CPD-level accreditation training as part of the role
Your Key Responsibilities as a Business Development Manager
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with contractors and rail clients through
professional, solution-focused engagement.
• Create, develop, and deliver a focused business development plan to generate sales opportunities
• Take individual responsibility for and grow sales within a defined territory, consistently meeting and
exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Autonomously manage your diary and maintain a busy level of activity. Schedule
• Maintain CRM records with accurate updates on quotes, meetings, activities, and next steps.
• Create and deliver quotations, negotiate pricing and service agreements
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has a strong B2B field sales track record (3+ years), ideally within the construction sector
• Understands the construction and contractor market, buying and procurement processes.
• Has the ability to generate and convert leads, nurture relationships, and close deals.
• Is confident presenting at all levels, from site personnel to senior buyers.
• Has a good grasp of technical products within the construction sector
• Uses CRM systems effectively and is comfortable with digital sales tools and LinkedIn.
