Crowe Watson Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Business Services Assistant Manager on behalf of a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be working with a varied portfolio of clients, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and larger corporate entities across a range of industries. You will take a lead role in overseeing accounts preparation, VAT returns, and management accounts, as well as supporting and mentoring junior team members. You’ll also have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients and contribute to process improvements within the department.

Key Responsibilities
Overseeing the preparation of year-end accounts for a portfolio of clients
Reviewing VAT returns and management accounts
Supporting the training and development of junior team members
Liaising with clients and providing high-quality service and advice
Assisting Partners and Managers with ad hoc tasks and project work

Requirements
ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
At least four years' experience working within a UK Practice environment
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload
