Our client is an established and respected accountancy practice with a strong presence across Staffordshire, providing tailored accounting, tax and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SMEs and owner-managed businesses. As Business Services Manager, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio, oversee the delivery of high-quality accounts and business advisory services, and play a key role in mentoring and developing junior team members. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager seeking a leadership role within a progressive firm of Chartered Accountants in Stoke-on-Trent.

Key Responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of business services clients
Reviewing statutory accounts prepared under UK GAAP
Overseeing the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
Providing business advisory services and identifying growth opportunities for clients
Supervising, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior staff
Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact

Requirements
ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
At least four years' experience working within a UK Practice environment
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax compliance
Proven experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service
