This large, established nursery and preschool in Abingdon provides full-day early years care and education for babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children. The setting supports children from infancy through to school age, with age-appropriate spaces designed around children's individual development and learning needs.
The nursery places a strong emphasis on children's emotional wellbeing, independence and learning through exploration. Children benefit from extensive outdoor opportunities, including a large garden, nature-based activities and spaces for active and imaginative play. The setting also offers facilities including sensory and quiet spaces, supporting a broad range of children's individual needs.

Your Role as a Qualified Nursery Practitioner
Working 8:00am–6:00pm daily, your key responsibilities will include:
Providing high-quality care, learning and play opportunities in line with the EYFS framework.
Supporting children's social, emotional, physical and educational development through engaging age-appropriate activities.
Acting as a positive and nurturing role model while promoting children's confidence and independence.
Observing children's development and contributing to accurate learning and progress records.
Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and other nursery professionals.
Maintaining a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment while following safeguarding procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this Qualified Nursery Practitioner position in Abingdon, you will need:
CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years, or a recognised relevant equivalent.
Previous experience working with babies, toddlers or preschool-aged children within a nursery or Early Years environment.
A good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
An enthusiastic, patient and nurturing approach to working with young children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a nursery team.
The ability to work full-time, 8:00am–6:00pm, and ideally start ASAP.
