Location: Aylesbury
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Term Time Only

SENDhelp is recruiting an SEN Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming specialist school in Aylesbury. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with additional needs while developing valuable experience within SEND education.

About the School

This specialist school in Aylesbury supports young people aged 11–19 with EHCPs, including pupils with Autism (ASD), communication and interaction needs, and moderate learning difficulties.

With smaller classes, enhanced staffing and personalised learning, the school provides a supportive environment where pupils can build their confidence, communication skills and independence.

What You'll Be Doing

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
Help pupils access learning and stay engaged in lessons.
Support communication, social skills and independence.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Follow individual EHCP targets and support strategies.
Work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team.
Help create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom.
Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a patient, reliable and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant who genuinely wants to make a difference.

Experience supporting children or young people with ASD, learning difficulties, communication needs or SEND is highly desirable. Relevant experience from education, care, youth work or support settings will also be considered.
