Description

Our client is a well-established, independent fiduciary and corporate services provider with a strong international reputation. They administer a diverse portfolio of trusts, companies, foundations and partnerships for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth private clients.

They are looking for a permanent CDD Analyst to join their Operational Risk and Compliance Team. This is a second-line role supporting the Client Services and Onboarding teams and helping to ensure that client structures meet Guernsey’s regulatory requirements.

Full-time hours are preferred. However, reduced or flexible hours may be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyse fiduciary structures to identify the relevant entities, customers, key principals and other identification subjects.
• Determine the parties from whom CDD must be obtained and the appropriate level of due diligence.
• Identify when enhanced measures or enhanced due diligence are required.
• Review and assess CDD documentation, highlighting deficiencies or further requirements.
• Communicate CDD requirements clearly to colleagues and internal stakeholders.
• Record and maintain risk factors accurately within the firm’s fiduciary systems.
• Create and monitor tasks to ensure that outstanding CDD requirements are completed promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and a high standard of data integrity.
• Review potential screening matches and adverse intelligence alerts.
• Assist with CDD reporting for internal committees and management.
• Support the wider compliance function with the ongoing maintenance of CDD records.

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Approximately three years’ experience within a fiduciary environment.
• Practical frontline compliance or CDD experience.
• A good understanding of the GFSC Handbook on Countering Financial Crime and related regulatory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of CDD requirements for trusts, legal persons, customers, key principals and other identification subjects.
• Experience assessing CDD documentation, identifying deficiencies and applying risk-based measures.
• An understanding of enhanced measures and enhanced due diligence.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• A methodical, organised and proactive approach.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• An enquiring mindset and the confidence to use initiative when resolving CDD matters.

An AML/CFT qualification would be advantageous. Previous experience using Acumen or Laserfiche would also be useful but is not essential.
