Description
Axcis Education is working with a number of welcoming primary and secondary schools across Trafford, and we’re looking for confident and proactive teaching assistants to join our team full-time — ideally 5 days a week.
These roles are mostly short or long-term placements, offering consistency and the chance to make a real impact in the classroom.
We’re especially interested in candidates who:
- Hold relevant training or qualifications - such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Phonics, Makaton, PECS, Safeguarding, etc.
- Have experience working with children or young people, particularly those with ASD, ADHD or additional learning needs
- Are confident, engaging and able to build strong relationships with students
- Are proactive in the classroom – ready to assist, adapt and respond to different learning styles and behaviours
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups, especially those with SEND
- Helping with classroom routines, lesson activities and emotional regulation
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Working closely with class teachers to follow support plans
- Creating a calm, inclusive environment where every child can thrive
What we offer:
- Competitive daily rates up to £104, depending on experience
- Full-time roles across a variety of SEND and mainstream schools
- Access to over 180 CPD-certified training courses via The National College
- Opportunities to grow your skills and take on meaningful, rewarding work
If you're passionate about supporting children’s development and want to put your training into action, we’d love to hear from you!
