Description
We have a support staff vacancy for a teaching assistant with experience of working with individuals with a lead diagnosis of Autism (ASD) with range of different needs such as sensory processing, challenging behaviour and communication delays including non-verbal communication. This position is for an Autism specific all-age SEND school in the Shirley area.
Job details:
• Supporting pupils diagnosed with Autism, comprising of mixed needs such as sensory processing, challenging behaviour and communication delays including non-verbal communication
• Working on a one to one and small group basis
• Full time (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
• Ongoing basis for the rest of the academic year and going returning in September 2025
• Start ASAP
Requirements:
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND needs such as Autism - Essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or we’re happy to carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position – Essential
• Minimum of 2 good references – Essential
