Description

Join a specialist fiduciary team with over 35 years of heritage.

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking for a role that offers both technical variety and a stable, established environment? We are seeking a Client Accountant to join a highly respected fiduciary provider with a strong presence in the Bailiwick.

In this role, you will be the guardian of financial records for a diverse range of Companies and Trusts. If you enjoy problem-solving, technical bookkeeping, and managing complex tax-related reporting, this is an excellent opportunity to settle into a long-term, supportive team.

The Role
As a key member of the accounts team, you will ensure the accuracy and regulatory compliance of a dedicated portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
• Financial Reporting: Preparing comprehensive financial statements for a variety of Trusts and Companies.
• Tax Compliance: Handling essential tax-related work, including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and IHT reporting.
• Specialist Documentation: Producing Solvency Certificates, tax certificates, and interest certificates.
• Portfolio Maintenance: Maintaining stockpiled gains/losses reports and preparing monthly account statistics.
• Regulatory Filings: Assisting with the submission of annual statutory returns for multiple jurisdictions, including Guernsey and the BVI.
• Technical Oversight: Investigating discrepancies, solving accounting queries, and maintaining high standards within the firm's accounting systems.

Who We Are Looking For
We need a proactive team player who is comfortable working independently when required.
• Experience: Practical bookkeeping and accounting experience is essential. While fiduciary experience is a plus, applications from outside the sector are welcomed.
• Technical Skills: A solid understanding of IFRS and GAAP is required.
• Qualifications: Ideally, you will be working towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CAT).
• Communication: Confidence to liaise with internal teams and external contacts effectively.
• IT Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and experienced in using professional accounting software packages.

Benefits & Environment
This is a permanent, full-time position (09:00 – 17:00) offering a competitive package designed to support your wellbeing and future:
• Pension: Generous 8.5% contribution.
• Health: Private medical insurance (AXA PPP).
• Holiday: 25 days per annum.
• Bonus: Eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus scheme.
