As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a central role in the firm’s ongoing digital transformation. The role focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform, working closely with internal support, data, and security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.
Key Responsibilities
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Designing and deploying Azure-based infrastructure solutions, including virtual networks, compute resources, and storage.
• Managing services such as Entra ID and Azure SQL Database.
• Automating deployment, monitoring, and scaling of cloud resources.
• Supporting the data team with cloud-native analytics and storage solutions.
• Implementing security best practices including IAM, encryption, and monitoring.
• Using Microsoft Intune for device management and Windows Autopilot for streamlined provisioning.
• Troubleshooting Azure, Intune, and Autopilot issues to maintain system performance.
• Liaising with senior technical stakeholders and external technology partners.
• Creating and maintaining clear documentation and internal knowledge bases.
• Keeping up to date with emerging Azure technologies and recommending improvements.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of cloud computing architectures, particularly within Azure. They will demonstrate hands-on knowledge of services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure AD, and Azure Networking, and will be proficient in automation tools like PowerShell or Azure CLI. Strong networking and security awareness is essential, as is familiarity with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot. The role suits someone with a passion for technology and cloud innovation, who values collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
