Description
Our Established freight forwarder client based in Sunbury are looking for someone to join their commercial team. Role will focus on supporting freight pricing activities, driving efficiency, ensuring data accuracy and contributing to the continuous improvement of logistical services.
Role daily activities are :
* Preparing Sea, Air, Road and Rail freight quotations by sourcing competitive rates and issuing
quotes to customers and overseas partners
* Supporting internal rate procurement and maintaining accurate pricing within our freight
management system (including system costings and client rate cards)
* Assisting in the development of company products and Gateway services, creating schedules
and supporting consolidation management activities
Skills & Experience
• Experience within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Good understanding of Air, Sea, Road, and Rail freight services.
• Experience using CargoWise or a similar freight management system.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This role it’s self is more commercial driven rather than operational, the successful candidate will play a key part in supporting strategy and business growth
They will be strong opportunities to develop Air and Sea freight with clear pathways for progression within the business
Working hours Mon - Fri 0900 - 1730 hrs
