A well-established financial services organisation is seeking a Data Administrator to join its Risk Management team in Guernsey. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain a solid understanding of how risks and controls are identified and managed across the organisation, as well as valuable insight into the implementation of policies and standards within the business.
About the Role
The Data Administrator will play a key part in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of data within the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system, coordinating data imports, and supporting internal control framework activities.
The successful applicant will review and update issues and incidents using the Riskonnect system, as well as through meetings with Risk Champions across different business areas.
This is a varied role that involves working closely with colleagues across all teams and levels, both within the local business and the wider group, supporting processes such as the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Policy Attestation.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and validate data quality within the GRC system.
• Coordinate and import data, ensuring compliance frameworks and policies are accurately recorded and linked to relevant business controls.
• Support management in evidencing the review and testing of business risks and controls.
• Assist with the RCSA and Policy Attestation processes.
• Coordinate issue and incident management and report on data quality.
• Document Risk Champion meetings and ensure timely reporting of risk events and remediation actions.
• Contribute to the embedding and continuous improvement of the enterprise risk management framework.
Skills and Experience
• Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and confident using Excel at an intermediate level.
• Experience working in a risk, compliance, or finance environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple teams and regions.
• Educated to A Level standard and ideally holding, or working towards, a relevant professional qualification.
